I have mastered the skills of time management, optimal resource sweating, tactful planning, and effort channelization by working on various projects with various people. I always cherish each project I have been part of because working in a company comes with many resources and readily available guidance, but being a student and working on each project taught me to be pragmatic.

Design and Finite Element Simulation of Meta-Cells with Pre-Stresses

  • Designed a unit cell with varying pre-stress under uniaxial compression to analyze Von-Mises stress and energy absorption using ABAQUS.

  • Compared the best possible case of pre-stressed symmetric and chiral unit cells to determine the model with the least von Mises stress and highest energy absorption.

  • Analyzed the symmetric, chiral and achiral packed cell configuration under uniaxial compression and determined the effects of friction.

  • Plotted the energy absorption curves to compare the effects of change in radii for the achiral models.

Robotic Arm

● Designed a robotic arm to avoid mundane and obnoxious tasks.
● Incorporated all the parts in the design to replicate a real-life working model

Design and Optimization of Heat Pipes

• Designed heat pipes used in laptops by varying material, shape, heat flux, and fill ratio parameters in SolidWorks.
• Calculated the heat transfer for five models and determined the most efficient model with flow analysis in ANSYS.

Design and analysis race car muffler

• Engineered a custom race car muffler and performed an acoustic analysis in SolidWorks and LMS Virtual Lab.
• Replaced the existing absorptive muffler in the CBR600cc engine with a reactive muffler and analyzed the backpressure.

Non-Newtonian Fluid Suspension System

• Minimized the fluctuations in a vehicle by replacing the conventional fluid with non-Newtonian fluid(Oobleck) in the damper.
• Determined properties like load, compressive strength, and elongation using Universal Testing Machine (UTM) and compared them with the existing model.
