Robotic Arm
● Designed a robotic arm to avoid mundane and obnoxious tasks.
● Incorporated all the parts in the design to replicate a real-life working model
● Finite Element Analysis is performed on the design to determine the ultimate tensile strength and factor of safety.
● Performed creep and fatigue analysis to determine the number of cycles until failure.
Design Considerations
● Defined independent load conditions in each component because the stress varies based on the orientation.
● Payload, motion range, and speed of each component are considered from an industrial robotic arm.
● Finite Element Analysis is performed on the design to determine the ultimate tensile strength and factor of safety.
● Performed creep and fatigue analysis to determine the number of cycles until failure.
● Considered base and top mount as one component and end pin and end grip as another.
